The Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Management is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

The management major at McKendree University requires the student to acquire a diverse knowledge in areas such as accounting, economics, and business law. Although the major has a behavioral orientation, the quantitative aspects of management are also emphasized. The faculty place emphasis on communication abilities and computer competency via elective courses.

Management students acquire skills and master concepts which lead to effective management and utilization of human and physical resources. Students will be able to contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, job analysis, personnel evaluation, production scheduling, and quality control. Students will become effective at organizing and motivating personnel. To be effective in these activities, students will develop their oral and written communication skills, their critical thinking skills, and their quantitative skills.

The student must complete the major or minor with a minimum of a 2.25 cumulative grade point average in courses applied to the major or minor. Any specific business courses completed by the student outside of the business core may not be counted toward more than one business major or minor.
