Master of Business Administration
The McKendree University Business Division is
dedicated to providing a Master of Business
Administration program that will contribute to the knowledge base, analytical skills, and career
potential of the students. The program will build on the knowledge and experience of both the
students and faculty and foster an attitude of life-long learning.
Three courses of study are available:
Traditional MBA Coursework
MBA - International Business Coursework
MBA - Human Resource Management Coursework
The program consists of 12 classes that can be completed in less than two years covering the key
areas to develop senior managers for increasing levels of decision making within private
business, public organizations, and governmental institutions.

Admission Requirements
Applicants for graduate study at McKendree University must possess a Bachelor's Degree or
equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students with a Bachelor's Degree in a
business field will be assumed to have the prerequisite knowledge to begin graduate study in the
MBA Program. Students with an undergraduate degree in an area of study other than business may
be required to complete foundation course work or demonstrate their knowledge of the field in
other appropriate ways. Foundation Coursework may be completed through the following
undergraduate courses:

How to Apply
Each application package will be examined for evidence of a high probability of success in
graduate study.
Applicants to the McKendree University MBA Program must submit the following items:
- A completed Masters of Business Administration Graduate Admission Application.
- An entrance essay describing the personal and professional goals that will be met by the
attainment of a Master's of Business Administration.
- Official transcripts from each college or university previously attended.
- Three letters of recommendation from various independent sources, commenting on the
quality of the applicant's communication skills, leadership capabilities, and the applicant's
ability to be successful in the course of graduate study.
- A current resume or curriculum vitae.
- International students must submit official transcripts (in English) with an official
evaluation of those transcripts by a foreign credentials evaluation agency and proof of English
proficiency based on TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
Applicants may be required to participate in a personal interview to assess their readiness for
graduate study.
